Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
The successful candidate is responsible for the overall project engineering and management function, including scope of supply, customer communication and management, engineering documents, scheduling, profitability and customer satisfaction keeping projects on schedule and in budget. The project engineer directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects by performing the following duties:
•Reviews project scope of supply and provide contractual and technical direction and engineering sizing and selection to a drafting department for drawings and to purchasing and production for procurement of materials and final build, test and ship. Includes originating a bill of materials parts list, complete notes and procedure for construction and testing.
•Review and approve engineering design documents verses job requirements, scope of supply and sizing. Maintain document submittal and release dates as assigned.
•Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project scope and requirements. Generating and tracking commercial cost and delivery impacts and updating other departments on changes.
•Resolve all customer / engineering company issues, concerns and complaints to correct specification issues and provide a clear scope of supply.
•Educate customer within our scope of supply to support our mutual products.
•Assessment of projects workload and schedule and priorities work to meet project deadlines.
•Completes technical sizing, selection of sub-supplier components and studies and prepares cost estimates to compare against the project budget.
•Lead company and customer or inspector group meetings in and out of the office by phone conference and in person. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact on all projects assigned to them.
•Verifies product performance by writing test and inspection procedures and facilitating tests.
•Design structural supports for major skid mounted equipment.
•Provide expertise, experience and problem resolution for complex designs and project issues.
•Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
•Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contract changes.

Required:
•5+ years of closely related equipment and industry experience as a project engineer (preferably with lube oil system experience, ASME piping and API 614).
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Effectively communicate via email, written and verbally by phone or in person. Able to listen, absorb, follow directions and provide valuable feedback.
•Performance Driven Self Starter: Need to have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated, disciplined to achieve goals and deadlines putting in extra time or effort as needed. Needs to face obstacles head on with determination and persistence to work through them.
•Positive Team builder: Ability to work in harmony with others. Must be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, vendors and customers.
•Problem Solving Skills: Able to proactively identify and analyze problems and determine solutions to implement the best possible outcome with minimal direction.
•Project management and delivery: Organizational and planning skills are necessary for time management, multi-tasking and working through competing demands to use effectively use resources and complete tasks correctly and on time.
•Technical Understanding/Competency: Able to learn and absorb how complex mechanical and electrical equipment work and how to grasp sizing and selecting sub-parts of that equipment, review and understand technical industry standards and customer specifications.
Preferred:
•Bachelor of Science or greater in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred).
•2D and 3D drafting/modeling experience using software’s such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
•Working/Expert Level experience performing structural analysis using FEA software such as SolidWorks Simulation.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
•Working Experience using ERP systems similar to SAP Business One
•Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
•PMP (Project Manager Professional) Certificate
