Energy Dynamics is an Industrial Engine services company, providing specialty machining and reconditioning, replacement parts, and engine technologies to power generation and marine markets across the U.S. and Canada. We are a cutting edge, fast-paced organization. We partner with European vendors and offer our customers a full compliment of engine replacement parts from OE to OEM as well as remanned components refurbished in-house at our Wiscasset, ME machine shop. We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic individual looking to advance their career in a niche’ industry.
Perform complex setups and programming without assistance on a variety of machine platforms, including 3 and 4 axis machines. For example:
· Load, Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on mills, lathes, seat and guide machines and surfacers.
· Program correction operational sequence for machining factors such as tooling change, axis movement of carriage head, cycle speeds, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut
· Observe and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust controls and media as required.
Perform complex inspection tasks to validate and respond to close tolerance dimensional requirements and specs
Verify conformance of finished work to specifications utilizing calipers, gauges, and micrometers
Perform equipment and machinery preventative maintenance which includes coolant and lubrication application to machinery, and removal of dust, swarf and other metal filings.
Read and comprehend engine service manuals and bulletins.
· High school diploma combined with an interest in gas engine mechanics and technology.
· Completion of Technical school certificate or degree in Precision Machining with preference given to Cylinder Head and Block Machining
· A minimum of 3 years of large CNC mill experience
· A minimum of 3 years professional experience in engine rebuilding (cylinder head, turbocharger, and block inspection, disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly)
· Confident with basic programming, tooling offsets and pre-setters
· Aptitude in setting up parts, and comprehension of manufacturer specifications, drawings and manuals.
· Ability to meet physical demands of occasional lifting of up to 60lbs.
