Machinist

Job Overview NOC: 72100

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge and experience in setting up and operating a variety of machine tools. This role requires proficiency in cutting and grinding metal or other materials to make or modify parts or products with precise dimensions with various machining tools. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring precision and quality in all produced parts.

Duties

- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.

- Repair machine tools and parts.

- Assist in assembly tasks as needed, ensuring all components fit together seamlessly.

- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accurate dimensions.

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

- 5 years machining experience

- Manual machining experience

- Line boring experience an asset

- Mobile line boring experience an asset. Mobile line boring jobs would involve longer hours / different shifts and being underground at mine sites.
