HVAC Sales Consultant – Base Salary + Commission!

McCrea Heating and Air is looking for an experienced and customer-focused HVAC Sales Consultant to join our Virginia team. This role is ideal for someone with proven HVAC sales expertise who can confidently recommend, design, and sell residential HVAC solutions. You’ll work directly with homeowners, assess their needs, and create tailored solutions using leading equipment brands such as Trane, Carrier, Rheem, and Lennox.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission—giving you the opportunity to maximize your earning potential while providing top-notch service to our clients.

Duties:

- Meet with homeowners to evaluate HVAC needs, perform system assessments, and recommend solutions.

- Perform Block Load calculations and duct analysis to ensure accurate system sizing and efficiency.

- Create job cut sheets and parts forms for installation teams.

- Provide clear, competitive, and accurate quotes for equipment installation or replacement.

- Maintain strong communication with customers from the first meeting through project completion.

- Follow up on leads, answer questions, and close sales.

- Build lasting relationships with customers and referral partners.

- Achieve sales targets while delivering exceptional service.

- Weekend availability as required.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5+ years of HVAC sales experience (residential experience preferred).

- Strong customer service background with a proven ability to build trust and rapport.

- Proficiency in Block Load calculations and duct analysis.

- Experience working with Trane, Carrier, Rheem, and Lennox products preferred.

- Ability to create professional job documentation for installation teams.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Self-motivated with strong time management skills.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
