We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership. This
position reports to the Managing Partner, and is responsible for assisting in strategic planning and making contributions to the development and accomplishments of Capital Engineering’s plans and objectives. This role is ideal for a practitioner who understands professional services environments and can balance compliance, people development, and business outcomes.
This role spans strategic planning and operational execution, supporting engineers, project managers, and corporate staff throughout the employee lifecycle.
You will play a key role in talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and organizational development in a technically complex, project-based environment.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment process, including development of recruitment strategies
- Onboarding new employees
- Employee relations
- Employee compensation and benefits administration
- Employee Service Awards Program
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee records
- Manage and continuously improve performance review and talent development processes
- Manage the Fit for Duty Program
- Assist management with various corporate initiatives
- Certificate, diploma or degree in Human Resources
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation (or working towards) is preferred
- Minimum seven (7) years of direct Human Resources experience
- Experience within an EPC/professional services environment is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation (federal and provincial)
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Work effectively, independently, and within a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
