Join EPCOR as a Human Resources Consultant and play a strategic role in shaping an exceptional employee experience for our growing U.S. workforce of 550+ employees. In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, offering expertise in HR programs and policies, benefits administration, employee relations, compensation, and employee programs. - Support the people strategy components of the business unit plans, building relationships with employees and management to serve as a trusted advisor on a variety of HR matters, while positively influencing the work environment
- Serve as a strategic partner to front-line and mid-level leaders on a wide range of employment related matters, providing guidance and interpreting company policies
- Administer benefits including, benefit system management, assisting employees with new hire benefit enrollment, inquiries and benefit issues, Qualifying Life Events while also supporting benefit orientation and open enrollment sessions
- Administer leave of absence including FMLA, ADA, Disability, and Worker’s Compensation
- Provide employee relations support to managers including advising on employee counseling, discipline, investigations and other actions
- Support annual pay increase cycle and performance appraisal program
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and agencies
- Assist in development and implementation of employee policies and procedures
- Support the development, implementation, and assessment of HR processes to ensure compliance and mitigate organizational risk
- Perform administrative tasks including developing strategy-focused communication for the company, creating and managing various HR documents, and updating the internal database with digital personnel records of relevant employee information
- Support employee projects and committees to develop programs to help employees feel fully engaged and valued such as Wellness program, and other initiatives
- Support activities related to engagement, diversity and inclusion, succession planning, organization design, job design, and workforce planning or internal promotion and succession
- Support growth initiatives and structure changes from mergers, acquisitions, and company wide programs
- Support facilities in the Phoenix metro area, as well as occasional overnight travel to other locations in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas to support assigned client portfolio
- Support other projects and responsibilities as requested
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional HR experience providing HR guidance and consultation to managers and employees in areas of employee relations and engagement, benefits, leaves, performance, policy administration, and compensation and job evaluation- Working knowledge of all HR areas including employment and labor laws, EEO, HIPPA, FMLA, STD/LTD, ADA, Workers Comp, training, and employee relations
- Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and related software.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and data manipulation, pivot tables, v-look ups, reporting to support HR functions, Oracle experience desirable
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
