The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in creating and maintaining a positive, engaging, and compliant work environment at GrovTec. This role combines responsibilities for HR services, employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and onboarding. The ideal candidate will collaborate with leadership and employees to ensure smooth HR operations, champion employee engagement, and support the overall growth of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Collaborate with leadership to foster positive employee engagement and sustain a people-focused company culture.
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment laws, ensuring compliance with regulations such as EEO, FLSA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.
3. Support initiatives to enhance the employee experience while ensuring adherence to HR programs and policies.
4. Oversee full-cycle recruitment, including posting positions, sourcing candidates, managing pipelines, screening, interviewing, evaluating candidates, and conducting reference and background checks. Facilitate all recruiting communication, interview scheduling, and coordination with hiring managers. Maintain recruiting data, documentation, and compliance with federal/state regulations and ITAR hiring restrictions.
5. Facilitate onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a seamless transition for new employees into the workforce.
6. Manage and maintain accurate employee records, ensuring data integrity across systems, including HRIS software (e.g., Paylocity.
7. Address payroll, attendance, and benefits inquiries, and assist with related transactions to support site operations.
8. Coordinate employee benefits administration, including open enrollment, new hire enrollment, eligibility tracking, qualifying life event changes, and ensuring accurate updates in HRIS and carrier systems.
9. Manage and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations and promoting fair, consistent treatment.
10. Collaborate with the Operations team to support site projects and initiatives.
11. Monitor employee morale, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose creative solutions to enhance engagement.
12. Facilitate employee separation processes, including exit interviews and preparation of related documentation.
13. Participate in employee engagement activities to strengthen workplace culture and foster positive relationships.
14. Participates in community outreach activities to help build the company’s presence within manufacturing organizations, schools, colleges, and related groups.
1. Three to five years of Human Resources experience preferred, including manufacturing recruiting.
2. Demonstrated manufacturing recruitment experience, including sourcing and evaluating candidates.
3. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll systems (e.g., Paylocity).
4. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation, reporting, and employee records management.
5. This position requires strict confidentiality in handling all employee, payroll, and company-sensitive information.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
7. Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
8. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
