About the Role
A large-scale Oil & Gas project in Texas is seeking experienced
HSSE Advisor
to join the Owner’s team. These contract roles will support field safety operations across multiple contractors and subcontractors during major construction activities. The goal: uphold a “Zero Accidents” standard and ensure compliance with all relevant HSSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
•Support and oversee the implementation of site-specific and corporate HSSE programs.
•Use Stop Work Authority to address unsafe behaviors or conditions.
•Provide mentoring and coaching to field personnel on safety expectations and procedures.
•Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
•Maintain documentation and reporting for audits, compliance, and corrective actions.
•Collaborate with contractors to close gaps in safety practices and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required:
•5+ years of HSSE experience on large Oil & Gas construction projects.
•Associate or bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
•Working knowledge of general industry and construction safety regulations, including PSM.
•Ability to perform field audits, including climbing ladders and entering confined spaces.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office; valid TWIC card; authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
•HSSE certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST, NEBOSH, CIH).
•Experience supporting Owner/Client-side safety programs.
•Bilingual in English and Spanish.

This role is subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations. Per diem applies to non-local candidates, including during site closures but excluding voluntary time off.
