Badger Meter is hiring a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Intern. The Human Resources Information Systems Intern will assist the Human Resources team at Badger Meter by using Workday, an industry leading cloud-based application. The HRIS intern will gain experience with Workday through a variety of projects such as system maintenance, reporting writing and scheduling, testing new functionality, and assisting on larger scale projects when available. Additionally, the HRIS intern will get first-hand experience with managing projects and producing project documentation using Microsoft Office software and applications. This will be a onsite internship this summer at our Milwaukee facility (40 hours a week).
- Assist the HRIS team, as needed, with the analysis and formatting of data for implementation of new Workday functionality and/or ongoing system maintenance
- Create and edit Workday reports
- Perform data integrity audits of the Workday system using predefined reports
- Participate in user acceptance testing
- Identify, edit, and create test scripts for system testing
- Create and edit job aids for standard system processes
- Create and integrate mass data uploads to the system
- Natural curiosity, technical aptitude, and an analytical problem-solving approach
- Additional projects, tasks, and/or assignments as assigned
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft products
