The Information Technology department is responsible for managing and overseeing major software projects. With a focus on scope, timeline and budget.
You will work with Project Managers to help define the scope of projects, establish clear timelines, define roles and responsibilities, manage budget and drive the project to success.
- Assisting the IT PMO team with creating standards, documentation and running software projects
- Promote best practice processes that ensure project success
- Learn the fundamentals of project management and software implementation
- Assist in setting up and facilitating project meetings and workshops.
- Document meeting notes and facilitate distribution of notes and other documentation.
- Understand and assist in implementing standard project templates and documentation. Includes helping create and update project plans, functional and technical design documents, reviewing and preparing test plans and testing scripts, assigning and following up on tasks assigned to other team members.
- Assist Project manager or Project lead in maintaining project timelines, scope and budget.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
- Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
- Analyze risks and opportunities
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
- How to collaborate with multiple project managers and project teams
- How to implement standard project processes and documentation
- Project meeting coordination and note taking
- To prepare status reports and documenting requirements, timelines, feedback and follow-up tasks.
Student actively enrolled in an approved Bachelor’s program with expected graduation date of December 2025 through December 2027
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person/remote hybrid at our Lakewood, CO office. We will host our Summer 2026 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.
- Pay Range $22.60-$30.14 USD Hourly
- You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize housing costs
- The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include overtime pay, paid time off, a housing stipend, and more.
