Responsibilities

- Safely operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized freight vehicles.

- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.

- Manage route driving assignments with precision, adhering to schedules and delivery windows.

- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and delivery documentation in accordance with federal and state laws.

- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered on the road.

- Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents.

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) depending on the job, with endorsements suitable for tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or other specialized trucks.

- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route management.

- Skilled in manual transmission operation; comfortable handling diverse vehicle types such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks.

- Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight transport and vehicle maintenance.

- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when required.

- Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and best practices for commercial driving.
