The Front Desk Agent welcomes guests, manages reservations, and delivers prompt, courteous service from check-in to check-out. This role is the face of Aspen Grand Hotel and supports smooth daily operations while creating memorable guest experiences.
- Greet guests warmly and complete check-in and check-out procedures
- Verify reservations, identification, payment methods, and room assignments
- Answer phones and respond to emails with accurate, timely information
- Resolve guest requests and issues with empathy and follow-through
- Process payments and balance the cash drawer and shift reports
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance on room status
- Upsell room types and hotel amenities to maximize revenue
- Maintain lobby and front desk areas in a clean, professional condition
- Monitor security and access. Follow safety and confidentiality standards
- Document incidents and communicate important shift handoff notes
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred
- Proficiency with PMS or reservation systems, for example Cloudbeds
- Comfortable with POS terminals and basic cash handling
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, professional presence with a guest-first mindset
- Problem solving and de-escalation under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to multitask and prioritize during peak times
- Teamwork and cross-department collaboration
- Basic math and computer literacy, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Full time or part time, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, and overnights
- Standing for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- Guest satisfaction scores and reviews
- Check-in and check-out accuracy and efficiency
- Upsell conversion and revenue contribution
- Compliance with cashiering and audit standards
