High School Summer Internship

JOB

This is a part-time, two week exploratory program for high school students to learn from water professionals about rewarding careers in the water industry. Through this internship, participants will be able to explore career paths by working with various departments, obtain professional development through workshops, and receive certification support.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Duties may include, but are not limited to working alongside various departments and water professionals and assisting with general tasks.Departments include, but are not limited to: Water TreatmentWater ProductionWater DistributionEngineering and Construction ManagementFinance and AccountingPublic Outreach and Government AffairsCustomer ServiceInformation Technology/GIS

Must be a high school student wo either: Attends a school within WVWD’s service areaAttends a school in: Rialto Unified School DistrictColton Joint Unified School DistrictFontana Unified School DistrictLives in WVWD service areaMust be at least 16 years of ageMust submit a valid Student Work Permit at time of application
