Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, machinery and Mack dump trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, hydraulics, and air brake systems. This position requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

•

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

•

Perform routine maintenance on equipment and dump trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety.

•

Assemble and disassemble machinery as needed for repairs or inspections.

•

Conduct inspections on air brake systems and other critical components to ensure compliance with safety standards.

•

Operate heavy equipment to test repairs and ensure functionality.

•

Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.

•

Collaborate with other service technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.

•

Follow all safety protocols while working in the shop or on job sites.

Requirements

•

Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.

•

Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and hydraulics.

•

Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate various types of heavy machinery safely.

•

Familiarity with air brake systems and their maintenance requirements.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.

•

Must have own tools, truck, and diagnostic computer

•

Valid driver's license may be required for operating equipment on job sites.

Pay: $26.74 - $28.34 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
