Position Summary:
•The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for delivering expert-level diagnostics and repairs for heavy construction equipment and screening/crushing equipment while ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities:
•Conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and screening/crushing equipment at all levels.
•Identify and diagnose equipment issues, determine warrantable repairs, and thoroughly document findings in repair orders.
•Inspect hydraulic systems, and other critical parts to ensure optimal performance and safety.
•Perform routine services, including oil changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication, to maintain peak operational efficiency.
•Measure and confirm part dimensions and clearances to ensure compliance with factory specifications.
•Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications/Skills:
•Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
•Prior experience with crushers, screening plants and conveyors is required.
•Expertise in diagnosing engines, transmissions, differentials, transfer cases, hydraulic systems, electrical components (including starting and charging systems), motors, pumps, tracks, tires, and other auxiliary drive components.
•A proven history of dedicated commitment to preventive maintenance practices.
•Strong computer skills, including proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools, detailed record-keeping, the ability to interpret schematics, and a thorough understanding of warranties.
•In-depth knowledge of safety, environmental, and compliance regulations.
License Requirements:
•A valid driver’s license required
•Current CDL license preferred
