Troubleshoots and repairs all types of equipment from heavy construction to light support equipment and work tools. Operates equipment to diagnose problems and inspects equipment for defects. Responsible for small welding and fabricating tasks required on equipment coming through shop. Able to complete tasks with minimal direction.

- Assists supervisors, co-workers with a variety of mechanic, and related tasks as necessary.
- Highly aware of safety precautions, policies, and procedures and is able to assist management in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Mechanical and fabrication knowledge usually obtained through a 2 yr. post-secondary degree or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.
- One to three years of knowledge of maintenance procedures and tooling obtained through previous work experience in mechanic and light welding.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain Hazmat with tanker endorsement
