Apex Oilfield Services is a privately owned company providing rental equipment, service and support to the energy industry. We are currently seeking a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic for our Lloydminster branch. Our ideal candidate will possess exceptional mechanical abilities and will be willing to work in both the shop and field.

The Heavy Duty Mechanic will be responsible for:

•

Servicing, maintaining and repairing of our winch trucks, pumps, tanks, generators, centrifuges and all other equipment in the shop and field

•

Troubleshooting mechanical faults and malfunctions in the field

•

Ensuring communication with purchasing department to source parts and materials

•

Maintaining a high standard of quality control and organization in the shop

•

Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts, components or systems

•

Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and completing service reports

•

Adhering to all industry HSE regulations and requirements and company procedures

•

Supporting with the training and development of Apprentice Mechanics

•

Participating in daily safety meetings

The desirable candidate will possess:

•

Journeyperson Certificate

•

A minimum of 4 years of experience working on heavy duty equipment

•

The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

•

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•

Previous oilfield experience is considered an asset

•

Understanding of general electrical components is considered an asset

•

Class 5 driver’s license and ability to work in a drug and alcohol-free environment

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour

Experience:

•

Oilfield: 2 years (preferred)

•

Heavy Duty Mechanic: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Journeyperson Certificate (preferred)
