Admiral Metals is a scrap metal recycling company in Sterling Heights, Michigan (Metro Detroit area) and we are looking for you! We offer competitive pay + bonus and benefits as well as a great team of co-workers.

Compensation depends on experience $125,000 - $185,000

Benefits 50% insurance (health/dental/vision) paid for by the company, 401k match, paid holiday time off and 1 week paid vacation

Hours Monday - Friday 6am-4:30pm and Saturday 6am-1pm (time and half paid for all overtime)

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

- Welding and fabrication

- Detailed and organized

- Self-starter

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Strong follow through with all projects to completion

- Work well with a diverse crew

- Happy working outside in all conditions

- Proficient with computers in order to maintain maintenance records on excel

- Manage preventative maintenance on all equipment

- Diagnose issues and determine the best course of action

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to order parts from vendors

- Experience in fixing and repairing heavy equipment such as but not limited to heavy-duty trucks, trailers (mainly roll off trailers), lugger hoists, pto, hydraulic systems, scrap material handling machines (grapple cranes, excavators and shears), bobcats, balers, forklifts, scales plus more

- Willing to take on smaller fixes and repair jobs needed around the workplace

- Willing to help out in any area of the company as needed

You must have your own tools, many will be provided also
