Full Time – Day Shift

Starting pay is set at $30. Pay will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skill set.

Newton County Stone is an open pit limestone quarry currently seeking an experienced individual to fill a position as a HEAVY-DUTY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in KENTLAND, IN. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for servicing a variety of mining and quarry equipment – including specialty equipment utilized in the mining process (i.e., drills, loaders, haul trucks), as well as fixed plant equipment.

This role requires significant previous experience as a mechanic working on heavy equipment. The role will be responsible for performing repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on a wide variety of related heavy equipment, including CAT and Komatsu brands. The applicant must have a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide range of service issues that affect major components such as engines, brake systems, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating/cooling and electrical systems, as well as other systems generally encountered in the aggregate industry.
