Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience in working on a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including Caterpillar, Cummins, Mack.

- Conduct maintenance on various types of trucks and trailer; etc winch truck, vac trucks, vac trailers, frac tanks, pressure washers, backhoes, skidsteers.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.

- Troubleshoot issues related to transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC components.

- Execute automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical problems in vehicles including tractor-trailers.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles and equipment.

- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and assembly tasks.

Experience

- Minimum 3 years experience as a heavy diesel mechanic is required; dealership experience is a plus.

- Proficiency in truck repair techniques including in-frames, transmissions, clutchs, air system components, hydraulic components, steering, suspension, brakes, etc is mandantory.

- Familiarity with diag tools, schematics and electrical systems is essential for effective troubleshooting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.50 - $37.50 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 80 per week
