We are seeking an experienced and skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team! This position will play a vital role in keeping our fleet safe and reliable. The Diesel tech will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles on our company's fleet.
- Performs vehicle inspections and diagnostic testing to identify issues.
- Troubleshoot and repairs AC Systems, Brakes, ABS. Can diagnose/repair DPF Systems, electrical systems. Ability to make repairs on liftgates, rollup doors. Trailer maintenance and repairs.
- Conducts routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes.
- Keeps an accurate record of all repairs and services performed using the company’s ERP system.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Conforms with DOT, state and company safety regulations.
- During slow times have the ability to work on gas vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficient in vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with manuals.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy.
- Perform annual Fleet DOT Inspections- 3+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repair of Cummins & PACCAR engines
- Class B license preferred.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into unusual spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.
