Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our customers. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
•
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and related systems.
•
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of diesel-powered equipment, including trucks and farm machinery.
•
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
•
Repair or replace components such as air brakes, suspensions, and other critical parts.
•
Utilize tools such as soldering equipment, forklifts, and diagnostic machines effectively.
•
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed for customer reference.
•
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.
•
Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during the repair process.
Skills
•
Proficient in diagnosing mechanical problems in diesel engines.
•
Experience with air brake systems and suspension components.
•
Ability to work as a mechanic or service technician in a fast-paced environment.
•
Familiarity with farm machinery maintenance is a plus.
•
Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
•
Capability for heavy lifting when necessary during repairs or maintenance tasks.
•
Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment is advantageous but not mandatory.
