Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Semi-Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, as well as a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. This role involves working with various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

•

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to engine diagnostics, brake systems, and transmission repairs.

•

Inspect and repair shocks, struts, and suspension systems to ensure vehicle stability and safety.

•

Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance in all weather conditions.

•

Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively and provide timely solutions.

•

Operate forklifts safely while moving equipment or parts as necessary during repairs.

•

Align wheels and perform other adjustments to enhance vehicle performance.

•

Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles for tracking purposes.

•

Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

•

Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting tasks associated with vehicle repairs.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in automotive repair.

•

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex issues in diesel engines.

•

Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.

•

Valid driver's license required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are advantageous.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
