Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are adding to the team and are hiring a dependable and skilled diesel mechanic who thrives on working in a fast pace and exciting environment. This is a full time position that includes overtime pay and is Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays: 6am-4pm

JOB DESCRIPTION

Experienced self-starter and motivated heavy equipment mechanic needed for our Trucks and Equipment in and around Emmett, ID. Great working environment and great pay with opportunities for growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Have thorough knowledge of equipment and maintenance requirements.

Be able to work in harsh conditions and any hour of the day.

Thoroughly and accurately fill out time sheets, work orders, maintenance reports and other paperwork as required.

Must be able to accurately diagnose and resolve problems.

Maintain a good attitude at all times.

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) of the Company.

Computer skills as needed to maintain a proper fleet maintenance program.

Attend safety trainings as scheduled.

Wear appropriate PPE at appropriate times.

Perform duties in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Must have a reliable cell phone for service calls.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Dress professionally, be clean shaven, and have no hair below the top of shoulder.

Treat customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.

Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned to the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

CDL experience would be a plus.

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.

Be legally able to work permanently in the United States.

Ability to bend, squat, twist, and move freely in the performance of the position.

Ability to climb in and out of equipment many times during the course of the day's work.

Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
