Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work independently in various environments, ensuring optimal performance of HVAC systems for our clients.

Duties

- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and technical manuals.

- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and longevity.

- Work with refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration when necessary.

- Conduct field service visits to assess and resolve customer issues.

- Collaborate with other technicians on complex projects requiring mechanical knowledge.

- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welders for equipment repair and installation tasks.

- Assist in plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations as needed.

- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry.

- Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and construction practices.

- Familiarity with appliance repair and property maintenance tasks.

- Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.

- Knowledge of boiler systems is a plus.

- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.

- Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.

- Previous experience in field service roles is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
