Heating Oil Service Technician

Job Overview

Ed's Garage, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heating Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of heating systems, including oil burners, furnaces and boilers. Knowledge of air conditioning and cooling systems is a plus but not required. Responsibilities

- Provide annual maintenance and cleaning services for heating systems (oil burners, furnaces, boilers, etc.).

- Troubleshoot and diagnose heating system issues and perform necessary repairs.

- Accurately complete job orders and maintain proper documentation.

- Respond to emergency service calls when needed.

- Provide excellent customer service by explaining work performed and offering maintenance recommendations.

- Assist in the design and installation of new systems or upgrades to existing systems.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective service delivery.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules and inventory of parts.

- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry regulations.

Requirements

- CT B or S Heating License required.

- Proven experience as a heating service technician.

- Strong knowledge of heating systems and components.

- Familiarity with air conditioning/cooling systems is a plus, but not required.

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.

- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.

- A valid driver's license and clean driving record.

- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.
