- Partner across all divisions with Engineering, FS Operations, Safety, Quality, and HR to build an integrated, enterprise-wide training system.

- Provide direction on technical standards, instructional expectations, and program quality while developing the team’s capability to support execution.

- Manage daily operations of the Orlando training center, ensuring lab environments, hands-on equipment, simulators, and tools are safe, ready, and fully functional.

- Oversee calibration, testing, setup, and maintenance of equipment working directly with technical SMEs to validate accuracy.

- Develop lab procedures, hazardous energy controls, equipment usage protocols, and readiness standards.

- Engineer realistic training scenarios, failure simulations, and hands-on exercises that mirror real field conditions.

- Lead the design and rollout of new hire programs across ERS, Transformers, Bus, TDEC, and Engineering.

- Build multi-week, multi-phase development pipelines that blend classroom instruction, hands-on labs, simulations, field onboarding, and competency assessments.

- Translate SME and operational insights into program architecture, flow, and learning paths.

- Direct non-technical team members to produce schedules, materials, documentation, and learner resources based on technical requirements you define.

- Personally own the technical design of curriculum, labs, skill checks, and troubleshooting exercises.

- Work with SMEs and field leaders to extract technical knowledge and convert it into structured, teachable content.

- Guide the Instructional Designer in transforming technical material into e-learning, manuals, simulations, videos, and instructor-led content.

- Review and approve all technical curriculum to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with NETA, IEEE, NFPA, OSHA, and customer standards.

- Maintain version control and documentation excellence across all training materials.

- Deliver selected technical modules during launch phases and key programs.

- Build a “train-the-trainer” program that equips SMEs, supervisors, and foremen to deliver their subject matter effectively.

- Coach field leaders on instructional methods, lab facilitation, and technical demonstration best practices.

- Support skills assessments, job-readiness evaluations, and progression sign-offs.

- Oversee NETA certifications, PE and electrical licenses, CDL, crane/rigger certifications, and customer-required credentials.

- Serve as RMS’s NETA Certified Representative, managing audits, reporting, compliance, and relationship governance.

- Maintain audit-ready records and coordinate with HR and Operations to ensure workforce compliance for project assignments.

- Manage multiple concurrent training projects with clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

- Oversee facility scheduling, instructor assignments, SME availability, equipment readiness, and curriculum development.

- Direct vendors for training equipment, simulators, LMS, materials, and certification programs.

- Provide regular updates to the CHRO and executive leaders on program status, pipeline throughput, and risks.

- Track and report KPIs such as pass rates, throughput, readiness, retention impact, and progression velocity.

- Measure training ROI through operational performance, safety outcomes, and workforce stability.

- Deliver executive-level reporting that shows program impact and workforce pipeline health.

- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as VR/AR, digital twins, simulation environments, and mobile learning.

- Benchmark RMS programs against NETA, IEEE, NFPA, IEC, IBEW, OEM, and industry best practices.

- Continuously refine labs, curriculum flow, delivery methods, and competency models.

- Assume other duties as assigned.

The Experience We’re Looking For:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent field experience).

- 7+ years in electrical services, power systems, substation, transformer, or similar technical environments. - 5+ years designing or delivering technical training programs, hands-on labs, or competency-based development.

- Strong understanding of electrical theory, safety practices (NFPA 70E, OSHA), and field operations.

- Experience building technical curriculum, skills assessments, and practical training exercises.

- Ability to translate SME knowledge into structured, teachable content.

- Demonstrated ability to manage complex training projects and multiple stakeholders.

- Strong communication skills and ability to partner across FS Operations, Engineering, Safety, Quality, and HR.

- Proven ability to coach non-technical team members while owning technical accuracy.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a strong customer focus and the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.

- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills, demonstrating a capacity for managing multiple priorities and driving project success.

Additional Requirements:

- Ability to pass a stringent drug screening and background check, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies.

- Hold a valid and current driver's license.
