HDD Field Mechnic

The HDD Field Mechanic is responsible for repair and maintenance on various machines and equipment used for Horizontal Directional Drilling.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Performs maintenance on HDD equipment.

- Testing equipment and completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, and hydraulic testing.

- Maintains equipment’s functional condition by repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replacing parts and components, and repairing body damage.

- Maintains records by recording service and repairs.

- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

- Must be willing to travel.

- Qualified candidates must have 2+ years of work-related experience with construction or utility related equipment repairs.

- Experience with hydraulics and electrical diagnostics is beneficial.

- CDL a plus.

- Must have a valid Driver License.

- Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods of time.

- Must be able to lift/push/pull 20+ pounds regularly.
