Goldstrike - Underground Operations General Supervisor

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground General Supervisor at our Goldstrike operations. The General Supervisor will support operational objectives by minimizing risk and improving value through administration of underground operations - focusing on value, cost reduction and risk management.

- Supervise and support crews

- Provide employment training and communication functions

- Ensure that operations functions are performed within safety, security and environmental policies and regulations

Qualifications

- Degree in Mine Engineering or Ten (10) years underground experience preferred

- Five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred

- Ability to interpret engineering plans and offer sound technical expertise with regards to mine design and ground control issue required

- Strong working knowledge of underground mining equipment, support equipment, and methods, procedures, and legislative requirements preferred

- Proven safe work record, sound understanding of safety and environment requirements associated with underground mining required

- Professional communication skills with various levels of employees both verbally and in writing required

- Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others required

- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
