Goldrush - Underground Mining Engineer III

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Underground Mining Engineer III at our Goldrush operation. The successful candidate is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope

Responsibilities:

- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope

- Plan and conduct surveys, tests, or investigations, interpret results, and prepare recommendations, summaries, schedules, and cost estimates. Meet with representatives of other departments to coordinate planning and scheduling activities.

- Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but includes a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements

- Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities. Devise new approaches to problems encountered. Work requires originality and judgment in the independent evaluation and resolution of problems

- Creation of long range mine plans inclusive of CAPEX, OPEX estimates

- Preparation of Reserve and Resource estimates for the site

- Create and analyze metrics to determine operational efficiencies and growth prospects

- Create an environment of trust and respect with other departments at the operation

- Manage and be accountable for the workload allocation and generated products from the site engineering and survey team

Qualifications:

- B.S. degree in Engineering and 5 years of experience in Underground Mine Planning required

- Ventilation experience required

- Minimum 3 years of mine design and scheduling required

- Technical communication and presentation skills required

- Expert knowledge in engineering and design are required

- Mining or heavy mineral industry experience required

- Project management skills are preferred

- Ability to operate efficiently in MS Office applications, Deswik software suite and VentSim preferred

- Strong communication and team fostering skills required
