GIS Analyst I

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a GIS Analyst I, you’ll use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support a wide range of projects across the organization. In this role, you’ll work with CAD and tabular data, manage and maintain geospatial databases, create maps and visual figures, and perform data analysis and reporting. You’ll also contribute by providing training, supporting workflow improvements, and helping automate routine processes.

STEP INTO THE ROLE

- Assists with the ArcGIS Enterprise platform including geodatabase management, loading data, and creating maps using desktop GIS.

- With guidance, provides data conversions to GIS geodatabases from field and engineering data sources such as spreadsheets, drawings, KMZ, and shapefiles.

- With guidance, performs GIS data entry and data editing – both manual and modeled.

- Communicates and tracks data task progress for project deliverables.

- Escalate data issues or discrepancies to senior GIS team members.

- Supports the GIS team on planning, strategy, and scheduling GIS enterprise initiatives and aligning with industry best practices.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

- Bachelor’s degree in Geographical Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, environmental science or related field, or equivalent combinations of related education and experience required.

- 2 or more years of Geographic Information Systems experience required. Hands on experience with field mobilization or construction environments preferred.

- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).

- Some travel is required (25%).

$61,220.00 - $82,309.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
