- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, business, engineering, mathematics, environmental science, GIS technology or a related field.

Under general supervision, provides technical expertise in the analysis and development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) databases. Compile, analyze data, and performs geo-processing functions to provide solutions. Prepare customized output products such as maps (e.g., paper, electronic, web maps), reports, charts, graphs, and tables.
This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
- Develop and apply Geographic Information System technology to support division.
- Compile, analyze, and manage geospatial data
- Create analytical reports and dashboard metrics to support various organizational wide initiatives
- Conduct technical research, surveys, mapping, and related work pertaining to capital development programs and maintenance inventory programs on related properties.
- Prepare oral and written reports and make recommendations pertaining to potential impacts and opportunities to Denver Water.
- Build GIS web applications for various groups and provide support for data analysis and reporting
- Perform related work as required.
In addition, GIS Analyst will: Use survey, construction, and inspection experience to assist with enterprise geomatics services, geospatial applications, GIS databases, analytics, and reporting. Supports geospatial projects by helping to develop solutions that follow geomatics data and collection standards that meet surveying methods, principles and practices and align with Denver Water AutoCAD and GIS data Standards. Applies and follows enterprise geomatics standards that govern the collection and utilization of geospatial data and equipment. Assists with project data projection, processing, quality control, transforming, and sharing of field collected geospatial data. Assists with enterprise geospatial hardware inventory, maintenance, repair, support, and deployment. Works with the following software to implement and support integrated GIS and survey workflows: Trimble Business Center, Trimble Realworks, Trimble Access, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ESRI Field Maps, AutoCAD Civil 3D. Preferred 1-year specialized experience in survey and geomatics or ability to learn and obtain necessary experience.
In addition, GIS Sr. Analyst will : Rely on survey, construction, and inspection experience to support enterprise geomatics services, geospatial applications, GIS databases, analytics, and reporting. Support geospatial projects and develop solutions that follow geomatics data and collection standards that meet surveying methods, principles and practices and align with Denver Water AutoCAD and GIS data Standards. Responsible for project data projection, processing, quality control, transforming, and sharing of field collected geospatial data.
