Reporting to the Exploration Supervisor, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will be responsible for providing geological support to the geology team that will focus on logging drill holes using current software. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

- Collect pertinent geological data from drill core;

- Enter geological data into industry standard software;

- Ensure the best practices are followed regarding core logging, sampling and database management;

- Aid in completing assigned drillhole tracking and the creation of layouts for drilling programs when required;

- Communicate effectively and contribute to geological discussions;

- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

What You Need To Succeed

- Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science or an Earth Science program;

- Membership as a Professional Geologist in the Province of Ontario (P.Geo or GIT) or eligibility to obtain professional accreditation in Geoscience in Ontario;

- Valid Driver’s License;

- Previous experience working in an underground mining or exploration is considered an asset;

- Experience core logging using a standard geological software is considered an asset;

- Experience with other Geological Software platforms is considered an asset;

- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
