Bullitt County Stone - Rogers Group Inc - Shepherdsville, KY

Full-Time

Day Shift: 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Wages starting at $23.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train .

Bullitt County Stone is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking a surface General Utility Person for our operation located in Shepherdsville, KY . The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

- General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations

- Being trained in various other entry level production positions and filling in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times

- Operate equipment, including but not limited to: skid steer and loader. Experience is preferred.

- Report equipment problems and identify them to management.

- Light maintenance work and maintain the belt lines

- Complete equipment pre-shift report – if applicable

- Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment

- Ability to maintain safe working conditions

- Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision

- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.).

- Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned

- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Ability to learn quickly

- Must be willing to work weekends and overtime

- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
