General Shop Help

Robadair Ltd. is a precision metal manufacturer that services the Commercial, Defense, and Aerospace industries. We are looking to add dynamic individuals to our team in the role of General Shop Help on our Day and Night shift.

These individuals will be responsible for performing general duties and processing associated paperwork. The assigned duties may change on a day-to-day basis to assist in processing jobs through the plant.

The main tasks may include:

- Operating grinding and or deburring equipment

- Processing parts through chemfilm process

- Masking and unmasking parts

- Packing/shipping

- Painting

- Assembling of parts, following sequence of steps

- Maintaining shop cleanliness

- Lift up to 5-20lbs frequently

- Alerting Night Shift Supervisor to issues

- Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have these characteristics:

- Ability to read prints

- Attention to detail

- Manual dexterity

- Ability to perform repetitive tasks

- Team player

- Proactively identifying possible risks

- Problem solving

- Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner

Education:

- High School Diploma; or

- Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training; or

- Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training; or

- A combination of education and on the job experience

Credentials:

- Certificates, licenses, and memberships are considered an asset.

- Military specification experience is an asset.

- AS9100 quality standards knowledge is an asset.

- Nadcap knowledge is an asset.

Day Shift Schedule:

- 40 hours/week (80 hours over a two-week period)

- Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm

Night Shift Schedule:

- 80 hours over a two-week pay period:

- Week 1: Tuesday to Thursday 2:30pm to 3:00am (34.50 Hours)

- Week 2: Monday to Wednesday 2:30pm to 3:00am, Thursday 2:30pm to 2:30am (45.5 Hours)
