About This Job
About the Role:
WSG Energy Services s seeking a hands-on, experienced General Foreman to lead our Controlled Bolting & Machining operations on the LNG Canada Maintenance Contract in Kitimat, BC. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a background in field machining, bolting, and mechanical leadership. If you’ve run crews on shutdowns or maintenance projects and thrive in a fast-paced, safety-first environment — we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Lead and supervise field crews performing flange facing, cold cutting, milling, hydraulic torquing/tensioning, and other machining and bolting tasks.
•
Ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities in a live plant environment.
•
Coordinate schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure timely completion of work scopes.
•
Read and interpret engineering drawings and job packages with accuracy.
•
Communicate effectively with site leadership, clients, and internal stakeholders.
•
Participate in and promote a strong safety culture through active leadership and mentorship.
Qualifications:
•
Machinist Journeyperson is preferred but prior experience and qualifications also accepted– Millwright certification is an asset.
•
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in field machining, bolting, or industrial maintenance.
•
Strong understanding of plant commissioning, hydrostatic testing, and mechanical reinstatement.
•
Proven ability to lead multiple crews and prioritize workload effectively.
•
Experience working with CNC and manual machining equipment an asset.
•
Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
•
ASME Bolting Specialist Certification
•
Confined Space Entry/Monitor
•
CSTS 2020
•
Fall Protection, WHMIS 2015, H2S Alive
•
First Aid with CPR-C & AED
•
Leadership for Safety Excellence
•
SCBA/SABA
•
Forklift Operator Training
