Duties

- Set up, operate, and monitor gear hobbing machines to produce gears according to specifications

- Conduct quality inspections throughout the machining process to ensure precision and adherence to tolerances

- Maintain proper materials handling by loading raw materials and managing finished parts with forklifts or pallet jacks

- Perform routine machine maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting to optimize performance

- Collaborate with team members on manufacturing workflows, ensuring smooth operations and safety compliance

- Assist in packaging finished gears securely for shipment, ensuring protection during transit

- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by maintaining clean workstations and minimizing waste

Experience

- Proven experience operating gear hobbing or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing environment

- Mechanical knowledge related to gear cutting processes and machine maintenance

- Familiarity with quality inspection techniques specific to gear manufacturing

- Warehouse experience including materials handling, forklift operation, or pallet jack use preferred

- Basic understanding of sewing machines or sewing processes is a plus but not required

- Knowledge of materials handling, packaging, and general manufacturing workflows beneficial

- Prior exposure to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices

Pay: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour
