We are seeking experienced Gas Turbine Mechanical Field Service Technicians to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and overhaul of aeroderivative gas turbines across the U.S. and internationally.
This is a field-based role operating from home with travel to assignments including power plants, compressor stations, overhaul facilities, and offshore locations. Assignments may involve extended rotations and short-notice mobilization.
Essential: Aircraft or Aero-derivative Engine Overhaul or Maintenance Experience.
Experience is required on one or more of the following engines:
- GE LM line of Aero-derivative gas turbines LM2500 (+), LM5000, LM6000, LMS100
- GE CF6, CFM56, GE90, GEnx, CF34
- Rolls Royce RB211, Trent, Avon
- Pratt and Whitney JT9, PW4000
- Execute installation, maintenance, overhaul, and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot mechanical and/or controls-related issues
- Interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings, and procedures
- Lead or support field teams and interface directly with customers
- Produce accurate, professional service reports
- Ensure all work is performed safely and to the highest quality standards
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with rotating equipment, vibration analysis, and alignment
- Ability to work independently and lead teams when required
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Aircraft or aeroderivative engine overhaul or maintenance experience
- Proven field service experience on gas turbine systems, including installation, maintenance, overhaul, or commissioning activities.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
- Practical working knowledge of OEM gas turbine manuals, torque procedures, and repair/maintenance instructions
Competitive hourly rate based on experience (Starting $45 –$XX), with premium rates for lead roles, offshore, and specialized scopes.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on gas turbines
- Valid driver’s license
- Passport (required for international assignments)
- TWIC card (preferred or ability to obtain)
- Willingness to travel extensively, including offshore and short-notice assignments
