Gas Station Attendant/Cashier

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while managing transactions and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the gas station. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.

- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their needs.

- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.

- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels, ensuring products are well-merchandised and readily available for customers.

- Assist in product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer experience.

- Upsell products and services to increase sales and meet store goals.

- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.

- Maintain cleanliness of the store, including restrooms and outdoor areas, to ensure a welcoming environment for customers.

- Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, utilizing effective phone etiquette when necessary.

Requirements

- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.

- Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transaction processing.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

- Ability to work effectively in a team setting while also being self-motivated.

- Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility and sales potential.

- A positive attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service is essential.
