Gas & Electric Records Coordinator

Office-based in Wixom, MI for first 2-3 months with on-the-job training. Opportunity to move to 20%-40% working from home

Job Summary

Create and maintain gas and electric equipment and functional location records into the client's system of record, SAP. The GIS (Geographical Information System) represents the physical locations of gas and electrical equipment in the field and is required to continuously be updated to provide accurate information for planning and scoping work.

Overview of Duties

With minimal supervision perform a variety of design related duties including but not limited to the following:

- Create and maintain gas and electric equipment records and functional locations (FLOCs) in SAP.

- Unitize countable assets for financial and FERC accounting and reporting.

- Review and interpret gas and electric design sketches, operating diagrams, field notes, work orders, gas cards, system records, construction standards, and maps.

- Track, monitor and resolve as-built issues and data inconsistencies.

- Enter data into system of record and populate data fields (e.g., fuse size, CYME ID, footage, serial number, equipment type).

- Recognize, review and correct inaccuracies in existing equipment records and FLOCs.

- Manage and process SharePoint discrepancies and SAP Notifications.

- Resolve, maintain and report on unconnected details of customers in SAP.

- Coordinate record keeping to meet project schedules.

- Provide training and technical support for other team members.

- Achieve weekly goals as defined by the project guidelines.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirements

- Associate Degree in technical or design field preferred. Other education and work experience will be considered.

- Ability to read and analyze gas/electric design sketches, diagrams, maps, and data.

- Experience with various types of maps and equipment, including Distribution, Transmission, Substation, Overhead, and Underground.

- Understanding of details provided on a work order such as compatible units, equipment records, FLOCs, etc.

- Proficiency in understanding SAP data and details, and functionality to update SAP.

- Research and issue resolution to progress open orders that cannot proceed.

- Knowledge of customer connection objects and connectivity in SAP, GIS, and SmartMap.

- Experience using SmartMap and SM Web mapping systems.

- Understanding of SharePoint and SAP Notification process.

- Familiarity with legacy databases and records, such as Oracle, Raster Maps, Gas Service Orders, and GIS.

- Ability to create equipment records and functional locations according to client standards.

Requirements

- Must have a valid driver’s license.

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

- Must be able to complete a satisfactory background check.

- Must have a high school diploma.
