Responsibilities and Duties:
The Garden Manager’s primary responsibility is to be a presence in our client’s gardens, and to establish a rapport with clientele regarding the ongoing care of their property. This position requires 60-80% of the work week in the field, with some office work to create the necessary reports and schedules.
This will include:
•Oversight of the Services Teams (crews) as they progress through the work week.
•Diagnosing insect & disease issues as they relate to plant health care and reporting these issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
•Qualified candidates will be motivated, self-starters.
•A valid Texas Driver’s License, with the ability to be insured by our Carrier.
•An eye for meticulous attention to fine details in the landscape.
•Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
•Strong knowledge of native & adapted annual flowers, perennials, shrubs, trees, and planting materials.
•Knowledge of horticulturally proper maintenance practices.
•Ability to multi-task to accommodate client preferences.
•Knowledge of Irrigation systems and programming.
•Ability to identify weeds, insects, and plant diseases.
•Understand and instruct proper pruning practices and turf management.
•Horticulture or landscape degree preferred, but not necessary.
•A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in high end residential landscape maintenance.
•Texas Licensing & Green Industry Certifications are a plus.
•High end residential landscape experience required.
