Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Garden Manager to lead the planning, maintenance, and productivity of our clients gardens. The ideal candidate has a strong background in native landscapes, organic gardening or sustainable agriculture, loves working outdoors, and can manage both plants and people with ease.
Responsibilities:
•Oversee daily operations of all garden spaces, including planting, irrigation, composting, pest management, and harvesting
•Maintain garden tools, supplies, and infrastructure.
•Collaborate with clients and garden staff to enhance clients gardens
•Monitor garden health and productivity
•Keep records of planting schedules and maintenance activities.
•Perform and supervise aesthetic pruning of shrubs, trees, and perennial plants to enhance plant health and visual form
Qualifications:
•2+ years of experience in garden or farm management (horticulture degree, urban farming, permaculture, or community garden experience a plus).
•Strong knowledge of organic horticulture, soil health, and seasonal cycles.
•Leadership experience with teams, volunteers, or educational programs.
•Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
•Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various conditions.
Preferred But Not Required:
•Certifications in permaculture, organic agriculture, or horticulture.
•Experience with native plant landscaping.
