Position Overview:

The Shipper / Receiver is responsible shipping and receiving materials, managing deliveries and answering the door. This individual is also responsible for ensuring that the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized and free of obstructions at all times

Specific Accountabilities :

- Offload trucks and operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and overhead cranes

- Organize and maintain the warehouse area and pallet racking, organize flow of materials in a safe and clean condition

- Proper and safe packaging of materials for shipments

- Maintain documentation for shipping and receiving such as packing slips, customs paperwork, and material test reports (MTRs)

- Coordinate and arrange couriers for pick-ups, tracking shipments and compare rate quotes

- Shipping and wrapping skids of metal out for paint

- Receive, unpack and inspect product upon arrival, checking for damage, signing damaged on waybills as required

- Submit weekly timesheets

- Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts

- Assist the inventory clerk when required

- Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager to ensure REV’s goals and objectives are met

- Performs all duties so as to meet the responsibilities listed in REV’s Safety and Human Resources Policy Manual

- Performs duties according to REV’s quality system procedures and work instructions

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Shipping/Receiving or a combination of applicable experience and education relevant to the role responsibilities

- Alberta Forklift Certification is considered an asset

- TDG Training (Transportation of Dangerous Goods), and understanding of MSDS Sheets

- Basic computer skills with an interest in continued learning and skill development

- Previous experience with an ERP record system is considered an asset

- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

- Excellent organization and time-management skills with high attention to detail

- Demonstrated ability to perform all work in a safe manner, following work instructions and safe operating procedures

- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written English communication with ability to communicate with diverse personalities and experience levels.
