We are looking for an experienced forklift driver to join our team in Hammondsport, NY. The ideal candidate will have computer skills and inventory experience in addition to prior experience driving a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
- Locates materials and drives forklift to deliver materials to specified production areas.
- Records and maintains material inventory records, including quantity and type of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed.
- Examines material received, verifies part numbers, and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
- Compares records to material used at workstations to verify appropriate assignment.
- At least 1 year of forklift experience.
- Inventory experience preferred.
- 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- High school diploma or GED
- Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
While performing the duties of the job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear, or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional loud noises. A representative wage range is included in this posting. Final wage will be based on experience.
