Foreman (Water & Sewer Utilities)

About the Job

We are an established utility contractor based in Western PA, seeking qualified and experienced utility foreman.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Prior experience leading a utility construction crew (preferably water and sewer system construction)

- Ability to read maps, drawing and project plans

- Must be able to meet physical demands of the job

- Must have a valid drivers license (CDL a plus)

- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening

- Compliance with company and client safety standards and operating procedures

Duties

- Direct and supervise crew of laborers, operators and truck drivers to install underground utilities per client specifications

- Coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendent to plan and direct work.

- Responsible for completing job safely while meeting schedule and productivity goals.

- Complete daily work logs and track daily production quantities.

- Manual labor including but not limited to shoveling, sweeping, hammering, lifting, bending, kneeling, rigging etc.

- Operate various hand tools such as jackhammer, hand-held cut off saw, clay spade, compaction equipment such as plate tamper or ditch jumping jack, hammer drills, pipe laser equipment, pneumatic air tools, etc.
