What We Are Looking For
The Shop Supervisor will oversee the daily workflow of the shop, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely completion of all tasks. This role is responsible for scheduling, work order management, inventory oversight, and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
What You Will Do
•Manage shop workflow and schedule work for all technicians
•Utilize Trimble shop scheduler to assign and track work efficiently
•Monitor and manage work orders using Trimble TTP and TMT systems
•Create, review, and ensure accuracy of work orders, including parts and labor entries
•Close work orders in a timely manner
•Oversee inventory by adding ordered parts and managing stock levels
•Ensure all invoices are processed and sent for payment
•Respond promptly to emails, texts, and phone calls
•Communicate repair statuses clearly from start to finish with all involved parties
•Coordinate with outside vendors for breakdowns and emergency towing needs
•Provide mentorship and training to technicians as needed
•Stay up to date on all safety protocols and ensure compliance
•Collaborate with technicians and the parts manager for efficient parts ordering and inventory management
Supervision
•Working in conjunction with the Manager of Fleet Operations
•Lead and supervise a team of fleet technicians.
•Responsible for general supervision of staff and development; this includes but is not limited to establishing staffing levels, scheduling, written evaluations,
•Manage conflict and crisis; proactively anticipate, manage, and constructively resolve disputes and disagreements.
•Deliver corrective action and discipline when necessary and document all performance issues.
•Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations and engage HR when appropriate. Actively support all corporate policies and standard operating procedures.

What You Will Need
•High school education or equivalent
•NYSI or NY State Inspector License preferred
•Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field preferred
•Valid Driver’s License, CDL preferred (not required)
•Diesel Technical Training preferred
•Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
•Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
•Ability to work well as a team member and independently
•Ability to work efficiently and maximize productivity
•Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision
•Able to remain professional and courteous at all times
•Must be able to lift and move up to 80 pounds at a time
