The Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our trucking fleet. This individual will oversee the maintenance shop and a team of skilled technicians, ensuring all trucks are well-maintained and adhere to safety standards.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Fleet Maintenance:
•Oversee the repair and maintenance of trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
•Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Shop Management:
•Manage and lead a team of technicians and support staff.
•Coordinate work schedules and assignments to optimize efficiency.
•Maintain an organized and well-equipped maintenance facility.
Quality Control:
•Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of maintenance work.
•Address any issues promptly to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Budget Management:
•Manage the maintenance department budget.
•Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.
Continuous Improvement:
•Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
•Implement innovative solutions to enhance fleet performance and reduce maintenance costs.
Personal qualities include:
•Excellent organizational skills
The Maintenance Supervisor may work in various conditions and can be exposed to inclement weather and hazardous conditions. Travel and working in various locations are required.
