Coordinator, Fleet and Facilities

About Hyline Utility Solutions
Hyline is a diversified electrical utility contractor that offers a wide range of services in both overhead and underground powerline construction. We work for many utilities spread across Southern Ontario completing a variety of work including overhead/underground rebuilds, road widening projects and pole replacements. We pride ourselves in our highly skilled workforce and well maintained equipment. Our customer relationships are built and maintained through safety, quality workmanship, training and service.
Responsibilities
•Perform minor building, tool and fleet repairs/upgrades.
•Responsible to deliver tools, bucket trucks and heavy equipment between job sites/repair shops.
•Coordinate quarterly and annual testing inspections on tools, equipment, rubber gloves, rubber cover up, hot line tools and various other equipment.
•At Strathroy yard, satellite yards and construction yards, complete inspections and maintain safe, clean and organized area.
•Complete monthly truck inspections and ensure that equipment has appropriate safety supplies and environmental spill kits.
•Maintain stock of tool crib, order and co ordinate tools, tool repair and safety equipment purchases.
•Act as Hyline Utility Liaison between landlords and contract maintenance workers at leased yards and offices.
•Manage the commission, set up and de commission of construction yards.
•Commission new equipment with decals, safety equipment and tools.
Education & Experience
•Knowledge of basic hand tools, basic carpentry, mechanical and metal fabricating skills would be an asset.
•Previous work experience operating Equipment and medium/heavy duty trucks
•Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
•Comfortable operating basic hand and power tools
•Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills
•Candidate must be able to manage time effectively and adjust their schedule accordingly in a fast paced work environment
•Must possess a clean driving record, minimum DZ drivers licence. With preference given to candidates that hold an ARZ or AZ drivers licence. If the applicant does not currently posses the licence they must be able to obtain an ARZ within the 6 month probation period.
The successful candidates will work a Monday-Thursday 830am-430pm, Friday 8am-530pm
Wage Package
•Hourly wage is $30.00-34.07 per hour
•4% Increase after 5 years of employment
•RRSP 10% Company/5% Employee contribution
•Company vehicle Monday-Friday
•Start at 3 weeks vacation
Please note this is a career position and not an entry level position into a Powerline Technician Apprenticeship.
