About the Job (max 2 sentences):
The Fixed Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling all fixed plant maintenance activities—ranging from crushers and conveyors to Merrill-Crowe process plants—while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong planning, record-keeping, and communication skills, along with hands-on experience in fixed plant maintenance within the mining industry.
Responsibilities:
•Planning & coordinating the daily/weekly and long-range work schedules for all fixed maintenance activities, including, but not limited to: A 3-stage open circuit crushing and screening plant consisting of a gyratory, secondary and HPGR tertiary crushers including conveyors and mining screens, and 2 Merrill-Crowe process plants and refinery
•Keep equipment insurance critical and capital as well as operating spare parts at proper levels in the warehouse. manuals, and files up to date.
•Planning & coordinating outside services work.
•Review work requests to determine priority, scheduling and parts coordination if needed.
•Keep detailed records of all equipment repairs, rebuilds, liner jobs, history on each piece of equipment and all non-destructive analysis programs.
•Responsible for keeping the plant maintenance department in compliance with all Operating Permits and MSHA requirements through various inspections, record keeping and annual certifications.
•Ability to read and modify prints for wear liners and understand and explain P&ID’s
•Helps to establish and adhere to operating and capital budgets.
•Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
•This position will typically work a 4 day on and 3 days off rotation.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
•Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others, and have weekly field engagements with contractors and other site staff
•Knowledgeable with Oracle EAM Maintenance Management System or similar system, Arrow scheduling tools as well as mobile inspection platforms
•Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Thorough understanding of standard maintenance and operational procedures, and be able to complete tasks with guidelines stipulated by Coeur safety and environmental policies.
•Effective oral and written communication to include interpersonal and interviewing skills, involving sensitive and confidential matters.
•Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.
•Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
•Ability to prioritize and plan work activity, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans.
•Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
•High school/GED or degree related to field preferred.
•5 years of fixed plant maintenance experience or currently in a planning role.
•Surface or Underground mining industry experience. Sets high standards for self and others, builds trust, and takes accountability.
