As the Maintenance Planner, you will:
Preventative Maintenance Planning:
•Develop and maintain the annual preventative maintenance schedule for over 1,000 power generation facilities.
•Coordinate with site operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure alignment with operational demands and regulatory requirements.
Manpower and Workload Management:
•Evaluate workforce availability and align manpower estimates with scheduled maintenance workloads.
•Continuously assess open and backlog corrective maintenance across all sites to forecast labor requirements.
•Collaborate with Regional Directors to ensure coverage gaps are identified early and addressed proactively.
Corrective Maintenance Tracking
:
•Track all open corrective maintenance tasks and develop estimates for required labor hours and skillsets.
•Prioritize work orders labor demands based on criticality, resource availability, and impact to plant operations.
Leadership Reporting and Support
:
•Provide regular updates to executive leadership on manpower availability and forecasted shortfalls at the Supervisor and Regional level.
•Recommend temporary manpower redeployment strategies to maintain schedule adherence and plant reliability.
Analytics and Optimization
:
•Utilize CMMS system data to perform analytics (e.g., Mean Time to Complete Work, backlog trends, resource productivity metrics) to inform and refine Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) staffing models.
•Identify and implement process improvements based on data-driven insights and industry best practices.
System & Tool Management
:
•Ensure the CMMS maintenance planning system is properly updated and leveraged for accurate scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
•Support digital transformation initiatives and the adoption of predictive maintenance technologies.
Our ideal candidate will have:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
•7+ years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within the power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial sectors.
•3+ years of management or leadership experience.
•Strong understanding of CMMS systems and workforce planning tools.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other data analytics platforms.
•Experience with labor forecasting, FTE modeling, and workforce optimization.
•Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Professional certifications (e.g., CMRP, PMP, Six Sigma)
•Experience with Salesforce, SAP, Maximo, or similar maintenance management systems
•Familiarity with OSHA, NERC, or other industry-specific regulatory requirements
Work Environment and Travel:
•Primarily office-based with occasional travel to power plant sites and regional offices as needed.
•May require availability during non-standard hours to address urgent operational issues.
